As a child, Roz, hearing

Odessa had been murdered,
had feelings of great loss.
Through this gift we ‘give’
whatever we have so that
their suffering was not in
vain. To further the goals
of the Museum, we want
this message to be heard
now and forever: Never
forget! Never again!”

My family lost 28 people
while my parents, brother,
and I took the next-to-last
ship from Genoa to Arica
to settle in La Paz, Bolivia.
I can still hear troops
marching past our store
singing, ‘When the Jews’
blood sprays forth from
our knives, we feel twice as
good.’ I felt obliged to my
murdered relatives and all
other victims to contribute
to uphold their memories.
