30th Anniversary Guardians Commemorative Book - Book - Page 125
I am the child of two
Holocaust survivors. My
mother survived Auschwitz
and my father was a slave laborer in
Poland. Sadly, my grandparents all
perished in the Holocaust, as did
my mother’s first husband and twoyear-old son. For the past 20 years,
the Museum has told my family’s
story, along with the stories of the
millions murdered, to countless men,
women, and children who visit the
Museum from around the world. As
a Museum Visitor Services volunteer
every summer, I am proud to help
them learn about the history that so
impacted my life. Thinking about
the Museum’s next 20 years and
beyond, I chose to make a gift to the
Museum’s Endowment Fund so that
my family’s story will live on forever.”
