I support the United
States Holocaust
Memorial Museum
I will never forget the
day the United States
Holocaust Memorial
because the memory of
the Holocaust must be
secured. All aspects of
my life changed due to
the Holocaust. I always
dreaded family holidays;
instead of having over 100
people to celebrate, my
parents and I were the only
ones at the table. They
were not equipped to raise
a child, as they were overly
fearful and protective. This
affected me negatively, to
say the least. The pain of
not having family is with
me every day of my life;
it does not diminish. The
lessons of the Holocaust
must be taught to future
generations so such
events will not occur
in the future.”
Museum opened. My
beloved husband, Mark,
a World War II combat
veteran, and I drove down
from the Berkshires, where
we were then living, just to
be there. To see that a living
memorial to the Holocaust
existed in the United States
meant a great deal to Mark.
He was, and today would
be, so very proud.”
