GIVING VICTIMS
A VOICE
We got involved with
the United States
Holocaust Memorial
Museum more than
20 years ago, after visiting the initial
construction site. With the Museum
just getting off the ground, it seemed
like the perfect time to be part of it.
Over time and many visits, and the
more we read, saw, and understood,
the more important the Museum
became to us. Keeping the memory
of the Holocaust alive and educating
young people who did not go through
this time became a growing passion.
The Museum is recognized as a
global leader in education and for
the valuable information it provides.
Many people are unaware that it was
not only six million Jews who were
exterminated during the Holocaust.
An equal number of political
dissidents, Romani, homosexuals,
and people with physical deformities
were also deemed unworthy to live
by the Nazi regime. Even though
we are Jewish, and the Holocaust
decimated half of the world’s Jews,

we believe these other victims also
have a voice through the Museum.
They deserve to be remembered, and
the Museum preserves their legacy.
For our legacy, we wanted to help
secure the future of the Museum
as part of our estate plan. By giving
charitable gift annuities on an
ongoing basis, we’ve been able to be
more generous during our lifetimes,
because we receive an income back.
As a result, the Museum benefits
from the money now. And we feel
so blessed and happy to be able to
give like this. We are getting back
far more than we have given.
The Museum is truly a beacon. It
illuminates the past and is a light
into the future showing how to
make things better in the world. The
education it provides is a uniquely
powerful tool for hope.”
